Myrrh oil is extracted from the resins of myrrh. The main components of this oil are Limonene, Cadinene, Alpha Pinene, Cuminaldehyde, Acetic Acid, Eugenol etc. It has vulnerary, diaphoretic, circulatory, tonic, carminative, stomachic and various other properties. Myrrh is a very helpful aid in meditation as it contains high levels of sesquiterpenes, a class of compounds having a direct effect on the pituitary, hypothalamus and amygdale (responsible for the emotions).
